Our business process lean workshops and seminars provide entry-level to expert education for companies moving their lean efforts beyond manufacturing. Within an established, overarching framework, every client-based workshop is customized to address the client’s current state issues that have been established prior to the event. Most of our workshops have integrated simulations to demonstrate priority objectives. A great bang for the buck, a single in-house workshop presented to 10-40 employees is much more cost-effective and has much higher impact than sending 1-3 individuals to a public seminar.

As with lean manufacturing, there is no one right answer or step-by-step instruction manual to address lean accounting, lean IT, lean HR, or any other business process. But, our workshops present the basis and tools to create a culture of ongoing improvement and can be designed for general impact across a broad function or more in-depth impact for a single, narrow process.

These seminars address the needs of companies at a variety of stages in the lean journey where the business functions have not been adapted to the lean environment.

Know Where to Start: Value Stream Mapping
Value Stream Mapping, is a tool which focuses on the elimination of waste which is defined to be anything that adds cost or time without adding value.  Waste in a manufacturing process is often quite visible, but in an office environment, waste is often hidden, making it difficult to detect and eliminate.

This workshop will introduce the four steps of VSM: Preparation, Current State Mapping, Future State Mapping and Planning for Implementation. It is offered as a 1/2 day presentation to learn the basic concepts or as a 2 1/2 day workshop when a specific process is undertaken to be mapped.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn VSM or undertake a VSM event.
